The BEST Music Video ever

Coldplay is one of the band that I really like to listen when I have a good mood. They have also very creative and breathtaking music videos. Their new song 'Up & up' is definitely the best one.
The graphics made an amazing job there! It makes you feel that you are in completely different world. You don't have to think when you watch this clip. The text is also connected with the song which is a rare thing these days.

In my opinion, this song  wants to tell us to not give up on what we fight for. The singer encourage us to break all the obstacles in our life-journey.

Thinking deeper, I think it's about how we look at this world nowadays, the world we live in. Everyone has their dreams and what they want to do and achieve, but sometimes we just think that the life never gonna change no matter what. We think this world and everything in it is so bad. The world will be broken, no matter what we do. We stop to realize our dreams and purposes.

Coldplay give us a new perspective of this world. This world isn't as awful as we thought. This world and every human-race is so beautiful. We need to see the world from a new perspective, stop blaming this world. Do what you can do as hard as you can :)

And remember,if we fall, we will get up again, up again up and up!

How to prepare S'MORES?

That sweet thing was our 'must-have' during my summer at Brant Lake Camp. During late campfires, we were preparing this amazing dessert. It's delicious, sweet and has a lot of calories :)

Nevertheless, I am not a fan of sausags at bonfires so I'd rather eat chocolate. This amazing sandwich will be perfect for the gourmands! This treat is very popular in US and Canada and it is made with fire-roasted marshmallows, a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two pieces of graham cracker. Americans have also S'more National Day which is celebrated on August 10.

This cookie comes from the scouts who ate it during trips and campfires at 1925. And the recipe is still the same, nothing has changed. It's name comes from two words mixed and shortened: 'something more'. I wasn't able to eat many of them because their sweeteness, but for sure, It is necessary to try it!

How the French people sneeze and knock the door?

Recently I was thinking about the sounds which are common worldwide. Sneezing, barking meowing, we don't learn such things at school or university but I think this is a base to know well language. Because language is not only the words and grammar but the whole cultural and linguistic baggage. The French, Americans and Poles, we hear the same sounds in a different way! Especially when we read a lot of comics, it is very helpful to know the sounds. I reckon that knowledge of the onomatopeias is another, higher level in our language studies.

Here are the list of some words to compare in polish and french, which is quite interesting because some of them are completely different :)

pif paf - pan pan
puk puk - toc toc
a psik - atchoum
ćśśś- chut
kici kici - minou minou
ćwir ćwir - cui cui
hau hau- ouaf ouaf
mrrr- ron ron
bleee- beurk
chlip chlip - snif snif
chlup - plouf

My favourite CARROT CAKE

This is one of a few recipies that I learned by heart without checking the ingredients. In some way it is healthy, but sometimes, especially when I feel sad, I like to add little bit more sugar :)

My family and friends love that cake and I was made to do this already 4 times this month! It is very fast to do, it takes about 15-20 minutes to prepare the cake, but we need to be patient and bake it about one hour. It is really worth to try! Personally, I like to eat this cake with a natural yogurt and fresh fruits. Yummy!

Ingredients:

1,5 cup of grated carrot
1,5 cup of flour (wholemeal)
4 eggs
1 cup of oil
1 cup of sugar (I add less)
1 spoon of baking soda
1 spoon of cinnamon
1 cup of crashed nuts

Icing:

100 g of cream cheese for exemple Philadelphia
3-4 spoons of honey

Preparation:

Mash the carrots on the grater, cut walnuts or smash them, next turn on the oven to 180 degrees. Mix eggs with sugar for about 3 minutes than add slowly the oil - cake will absorb it all. Still whisking, add the flour with baking soda, the dough will be thick. Add also the cinnamon. At the end, pour the carrot (squeezed) and nuts. Bake in a from with a diameter of 26 cm. Best served with yogurt or powdered sugar.

FLORIDA

As my next travel destination this summer, I decided to choose Florida. I do hope that I will avoid the tornados and other climate changes and I won't spend this time hiding somewhere under the ground :)

Florida and especially Key West are famous for water sports. nightlife and historic site. Near the Key West, many museums are located to see. It is a good option to take a trolley to strart visiting with a guide. For exemple, definitely worth to see is a Ernest Hemingway's old house.

Personally, I'd like to discover also the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Universal Studios and Everglades National Park. I've always wanted to see a crocodile in his natural environment and it might be possible in this park :) Unfortunately, Florida really feels the effects of a warming clime, The level of water is very low.  It can be observed in landscape of this place.

The best way to visit in during the spring, the month of march. There is not so many tourists and the temperature is much pleasant.

The advantages OF CHEAT DAYS

Recently 'cheat days' became very popular, as popular as taking care of our health and healthy lifestyle. Personally, I can not resist 'cheat days' because I can't stand eating all the time salads and rice with chicken. Without eating sweets I getting angry and veeery iritating. So basically I am doing it for the people, that they could survive my company :D

Firstly, our body must keep the balance, the vegetables and grill chicken is not enough. We should remember that we can't make cheats too frequently, sometimes it is not a cheat day but just a bad habit. It is worth to plan our cheat days. For exemple, keep it for special occasions like weddings or birthdays. When you shock your system with a high influx of calories at one time, the body's metabolism will show an increase and you will start your 'furnace' into high gear once again.

Cheat day means also a break from a exercising. This is very important to take a 'day off' because your muscles need to repair and recover. It is good to go to sauna, that you could improve the circulation. Sometimes just sleep a little bit longer and stay in your PJs and don't stress! It is a wonderful way to give you a kick start and energy for the whole day :)

COACHELLA

The time of summer festivals in USA has already begun.
Festival Coachella is one of the most popular one because every year we can meet there not only random people but also very famous people from music and fashion industry.

Coachella is not only a music festival but also a fashion festival. The interesting thing is, that the festival takes place not in Los Angeles, like everybody thinks but in Indio, California. It's about 80 km from LA. Last year they sold 189 thousand of tickets and at the same time they beat the box office record, earning about 84 million dollars.

The full name of this festival is: The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. So we can admire there also a showcase of a visual arts, sculpture and interactive pieces of art.

The festival never gets too crowed because people have also an abillity to stand in the back of the stage. They can dance and have fun without feeling overwhelmed.

The Coachella does take care of environment. Every person who picks up a trash or bottles, they can exchange it for water or other rewards. People are encouraged in good way to clean after yourself.

Having fun and meeting new people - that's what matters most!

Novelist: Haruki Murakami

Recently I read his first book, I bought it accidentaly, but many people recommended me his books before. I decided to choose 'Norvegian Wood' very strange, but gripping and addictive book. Haruki Murakami is a Japanese writer. He is not only popular in Japan but also in the world, his books are translated in the 50 different languages! It's a huge succes, isn't it? His writing seems little bit melancolic, surrealistic and magical.

The 'Norvegian Wood' is a nostalgic, sad story about loss and sexuality. The main character is named Toru Watanbe, a student living in Tokyo. He is torn between two girls, emotionally destroyed Naoko, but his true love, and outgoing and brave Midori. This book maybe seems depressive, but behing each sad moment comes up the light and hope. It was very pleasant to read it, but the story maybe was a little but predictable. I guess that at first sight we won't notice the beauty and provocativeness.

If you have not read Murakami and you enjoy literary fiction, you're truly missing out. I'm ashamed I didn't come across him sooner. His books are at turns beautiful and sorrowful, and consistently magical.

Even when there's no magic involved.

Dreaming about Georgia (Grusia)

I am completely fascinated by this beautiful country and people. I just can't stop looking for places that maybe I will have an opportunity to see and discover. It's my dream to spend at least week there. In the beginning I didn't know much about this place and I thought that is quite random. What a shame!

Georgia is considered as a 'balcony of Europe'. I must agree, because it is the best place to stand and admire the magical landscapes all over.

What is the most beautiful there? For sure, the country side, as well the modern side also. Mountains, rivers, valleys... Simply amazing. It has also very rich historical part, we can't be bored there.

What is the most interesting for me, it is of course food :D I want to visit so much the local markets with many differents, fresh, traditional products, that you can discover again and again. When it comes to the modern part, the capital, Tbilisi is a mix of a culture and definitely worth to see.

What is the best there? Tbilisi has it's own style, you won't find there commercial McDonald's or KFc. This country is opening for the world, but still maintain its tradition.

The Billy Goat Legend

I was born in Poznan and I visit this city almost every day. Isn't that funny and sounds weird that I saw the goats butting their heads for the first time last year? So far so good I guess. That's why I'd like to recall the legend about them, which is not so known among the residents.

The king decided to organise a feast after a huge fire which damaged town hall. Luckily, the edifice was rebuild and people gathered to admire the new clock, which was installed there.

Of course, the guests must have been feed, the main dish was supposed to be a roast venison. Everything was prepared by young boy, named Pietrek. He was very gifted but also distracted. When he saw for the first time the clock, was very overwhelmed and took his eye of the food.

Unfortunately, the dish had enough time to get burnt. The boy was very frightened to be punished and run to the nearest farm. Pietrek decided to stole two goats to cook them for the guests. But he wasn't strong enough and the animals run away, chasing each other and climbing to the town hall. The goast started to butt their heads, which was very amusing to gathered guests.

They were having fun watching this and that's why the king decided not to punish the scared boy and built in its honor the firgure standing for them.
Ever since then, when the bugle sounds at the noon, the assembled crowed has seen the two head-butting billy goats everyday.

Nutella Cake

Being on diet is difficult and challenging. Even though I want to stay fit and eat healthy because afterwards I feel really good phisically and mentally, sometimes I just can not resist and I must eat something sweet. I won't put on weight immediately, as a result I will have a wonderful humour! 'A little bit' of chocolate doesn't matter :)

This recipe is partially healthy, no flour and baked by your own? Chocolate has also it's healthy properties. Don't think too much about the calories, just try it and eat it!

Ingredients:

6 big eggs (separate whites)
a little bit of salt
125g of butter
400g of nutella
100g crashed hazelnuts
100g of dark chocolate, melted

In mixer bowl mix  butter and nutella to obtain a smooth cream. Then add egg yolks and nuts, the whole mix with a mixer.
Add cooled chocolate and mix.
In a separate bowl, beat 6 whites with a pinch of salt. The whites mix gently with the chocolate mass.
Pour the dough into form pan with a diameter of 23 cm, previously put with baking paper. Bake for about 40 minutes at 180 ° C. Remove, let cool.

Icing:

100g of hazelnuts
125g of heavy cream 36%
125g of dark chocolate, chopped

Nuts fry in a dry frying pan, stirring frequently, not to be burnt. Cool before throwing for topping (necessarily!).
In small pan heat the cream, almost to a boilling, remove from the burner. Add the chopped chocolate and let stand for 2 minutes. After this time stir, creating a smooth chocolate sauce.
On the cooled cake pour the icing, decorate with nuts.

Bon appétit and good luck!

this is how my own version looks with toffifee :)

BELLY DANCE

Today I'd like to present you one of a arabic dances that I'm really interested in. I've always been addicted to Bollywood movies, songs and beautiful costumes. Three months ago I decided to take a risk (yes because I totally don't have a sense of rhythm) and take part in Belly dance classes. And I loved it! Of course, it was more difficult than seeing perfoming girls in the moves or on youtube. The most difficult for me for now it is doing movements with your hands and connect it with other parts of body :) With every lesson I am better and better so I don't give up and try until I'll be succeed.

The history of the dance is also very interesing. The term "belly dance" is a translation of the French term "danse du ventre", which was applied to the dance in the Victorian era, and probably originally referred to the Arabic tribe Ouled Nail dancers of Algeria, whose dance used more abdominal movements than the dances described today as "belly dance". It is something of a misnomer, as every part of the body is involved in the dance; the most featured body part is usually the hips.

I reckon I fall in love with this dance and I already encouraged some of my friends to try this and surely they don't regret because it's a lof of fun for body and your well-being. What is the best, is the fact that you don't have to be super skinny to dance! The more bigger belly, the effects are more visible!

Music Playlists to Studying

Music can help you create a balanced-noise environment anywhere. But, there will be times when you just need silence. The important thing to listen to your  and decide what’s best. Personally, I cannot focus when I am sitting in silence, I must hear or listen something. That makes me more creative and helps to imagine meaning of some words when I study language. I want to recommend you some genres of music which helps me to concentrate J

I reckon bad study music includes rap, pop, country and other genres that have clear vocals, because listening to human speech automatically interferes with the language processing part of your brain, which is important for most kinds of studying. Good study music uses synthetic, instrumental or natural sounds to help maintain your energy. However, there is no single genre of music that fits for everyone, each person has a different taste in music.

Ambient House
Instrumental Film Scores
Instrumental Hip-hop
Video Game Soundtracks
Ambient Trance
Chillout
Classical Music
Explosions in the Sky (genre: instrumental post-rock)
Vitamin String Quartet (genre: instrumentals of popular pop & rock music)
Hans Zimmer (genre: instrumental film scores)

I highly recommend you to check this songs, some of them are really interesting and I guess that everyone will find something which inspire you to study J

The best upcoming movies in 2016

This year will be full of blockbusters. Films with a giant budget earning a daunting amount of money.

  • "The Big Short" which is more dangerous than wolves of Wall Street
On the screen we will see Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt and Steave Carell. They will play the form of bankers who predicted the crisis of 2008 and cunning will order them to reap the benefits.

TRAILER: KLIK

  • "Ave, Cesar" an expensive comedy
Making a comedy that is not embellished with a cheap joke and not very sophisticated story, it seems to be quite a challenge. This time Cohen brothers took a risk, they invited George Clonney to cooperate, Scarlet Johansson, Tilda Swinton and Ralph Finnes. "Ave, Cesar" will talk about the kidnapping of one of the biggest stars of cinema that a film producer is trying to keep secret.

TRAILER: KLIK

  • "Brooklyn," or melodrama in the best sense of the word
While the drama has a (not always deserved) respect, so the word melodrama often heralds a dose of kitsch. In the case of the film "Brooklyn" it is entirely unwarranted. It is full of climate 50s about a young girl who from Islands arrives in New York. Firstly, she can not find herself, and when it starts to take root she will have to return to her homeland, leaving behind the love.
